Seminar Paper Prize
Recognition for physics students
A quest for knowledge and a passion for innovation are key success factors for a leading technology company such as Linde. That is why we have been investing in promoting the next generation of talent – especially in the science disciplines – for many years now. Our aim is to support and motivate tomorrow’s experts on their education path.
In Germany, Linde endows the Physics Seminar Paper Prize (Physik-Seminararbeitspreis) awarded by the Bavarian regional association of the German Physics Society (Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft) in cooperation with the physics faculties or working groups of the Bavarian state universities. Every year since 2008, our company – as a jury member and sponsor of the prize – has acknowledged the ten best physics papers completed by final-year students at Bavarian secondary schools.
Linde has been driving technical progress for over 130 years. Towards the end of the 19th century, the inventions of our founder Carl von Linde opened up a whole new world of technical possibilities and created growth momentum for entire industries. Linde’s intention with the Physics Seminar Paper Prize is to recognise students with the curiosity and commitment to achieve outstanding results – and thus carry on the tradition started by Carl von Linde.
