Our natural gas liquefaction plant in Hammerfest, Norway, is a good example of this. Constructed by Linde for our customer Statoil, this is the first plant in the world to separate the carbon dioxide contained in natural gas and pump it back into storage. This reduces the CO2 released into the atmosphere by around 700,000 tonnes per year.
